The Hantec Great Classics Series will make its grand debut on March 8, 2025, featuring the internationally acclaimed violinist James Ehnes, who will perform Brahms’ Violin Concerto alongside the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. A multiple award-winning artist, Ehnes has been honored with the GRAMMY, Juno, and Gramophone Classical Music Awards, and is widely celebrated for his masterful technique and profound emotional depth. His performances are consistently regarded as extraordinary artistic experiences.
Additionally, the opening night will be conducted by Finnegan Downie Dear, who will lead the orchestra in a diverse and evocative program featuring Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol and Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, offering the audience an enchanting and poetic musical journey.
This concert marks only the beginning of the Hantec Great Classics Series, which will feature a total of six spectacular performances. The next concert is scheduled for May 3, followed by another on June 14, ensuring that audiences can continue to immerse themselves in the magic of world-class classical music.
