Turquoise is December birthstone. The name of Turquoise comes from French and is one of the names of Turkey.

Turquoise is not produced locally in Turkey. Originally, the camel caravan passed the turquoise produced in ancient Persia to Europe through Turkey, so it was called turquoise. The four turquoise gold bracelets were worn on the arms of the Egyptian queen mummy more than 5,000 years ago, which is considered to be the oldest turquoise jewelry.
