The Four Treasures of the Study in Ancient and Modern Times: Pen
The pen can be regarded as one of the great inventions of mankind. With the development up to now, pens are no longer single. In addition to soft pens, hard pens have also appeared.
Soft Pens
Tsi Ya Chai, a subsidiary of Hantec Group, has held many calligraphy exhibitions by famous Chinese artists. The emergence of these excellent works is not only the result of the burst of creativity of the vast number of literary and art workers, but also is inseparable from the four types of calligraphy and painting utensils: pen, ink, paper, and inkstone. Among them, the brush pen is indispensable.
The Source of Pen
For more than a thousand years, there is a saying that Meng Tian began to write Qin pen. Historical records record that Qin Shihuang ordered Prince Fusu and Meng Tian to build the Great Wall to ward off the Huns in the north. Meng Tian took the hair of rabbit from the mountains to make pens. But in fact, the Chinese brush originated earlier with a history of at least 6,000 years according to historians' research. But Meng Tian played an indispensable role on improving the brush-making technology.
The Shape of Pen
Generally speaking, brush pens can be classified according to the different materials of the pen tip. It can be divided into three types: soft brush tip, hard brush tip, and mixed brush tip. There are different performances and uses.
1. Soft brush pens are mainly made of goat hair. They are soft and are mostly used for making large regular scripts, Chinese painting renderings, etc.
2. Hard brush pens are mainly made of harder animal hair, mainly including purple hair (old rabbit neck hair) and wolf hair (weasel tail hair). The writing style is strong, and they are mostly used to make small regular script pens.
3. The hair pen is mainly made of two or more animal hairs with different elasticity in a certain proportion, ranging between soft and hard hair, with moderate softness and hardness.
Hard Pens
There are relatively many types of hard pens, among which the fountain pen is currently widely popular. The fountain pen is the second modern writing instrument after the pencil and was invented in the early 19th century.
The pen is roughly divided into three parts: pen cap, pen body, and pen nib.
1. The top of the pen cap is called the crown.
2. The pen body is the hand-held part of the pen. The materials usually use various metals, celluloid, resin, etc.
3. The pen tip is made of metal. According to different metal materials, it can be divided into two types: gold pen and iridium gold pen. The nib of the gold pen is made of gold, silver and copper alloy. The nib is soft with good elasticity. The nib of the iridium pen is made of steel alloy, and the nib is relatively hard.
In order to meet market demand, there are large numbers of flagship stores designed for pens. POINT PLUME, the first store is located in the romantic city of Paris, France, with a history of 25 years.
